Description
Rare Original Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Owner’s Handbook – French Edition – F/122/3
A rare, genuine period Jaguar E-Type 3.8 owner’s handbook in French, titled Jaguar Type “E” – Manuel de Conduite, Entretien et Service.
Published by Jaguar Cars Limited, Coventry, England, this is the French-language edition, Publication No. F/122/3, intended for French-speaking owners of the early Jaguar E-Type.
Unlike the more commonly available English-language handbooks, original French editions are considerably harder to find.
The handbook contains the original French operating instructions, maintenance and servicing information, technical guidance and period illustrations of the early 3.8-litre E-Type, including the Open Two Seater.
Condition
An authentic, used original in good surviving condition for its age. The green cover shows some handling marks and a handwritten inscription. Particularly interesting are the period stamps on the front cover, including one dated 21 January 1966, adding to the document’s history.
The internal pages appear well preserved in the photographs, with some age-related wear.
Why this handbook is special
Original factory literature is an important part of the history and documentation of a Jaguar E-Type.
This French-language handbook is particularly desirable for owners of early E-Types originally supplied to France or other French-speaking markets, as well as collectors wishing to complete their car’s period documentation.
A genuine surviving piece of Jaguar E-Type history, rather than a modern reproduction.
