Description
1961 Jaguar E-Type – Genuine Original Shelley LJ225 Lifting Jack – Exceptional Mint Concours Condition
An exceptionally rare genuine original Shelley LJ225 lifting jack for the earliest 1961 Jaguar E-Types, presented in outstanding, virtually factory-new condition.
Unlike many surviving examples that require extensive restoration, this jack was already in remarkably well-preserved original condition, with very little evidence of use. Its mechanical components and overall structure were exceptionally well preserved.
The jack has simply been carefully cleaned and resprayed to achieve its immaculate appearance. No extensive restoration or rebuilding was necessary.
An Exceptional Example for the Earliest Jaguar E-Types
The Shelley LJ225 belongs to the early equipment specification of the 1961 Jaguar E-Type and is particularly desirable for collectors seeking the correct original accessories for these historically important cars.
Finding a genuine original Shelley LJ225 in excellent condition is increasingly difficult. Finding one that was already exceptionally well preserved before cosmetic refinishing is even more unusual.
This example offers the best of both worlds: a genuine original period jack with very little previous wear, combined with a beautifully refinished, virtually factory-new appearance.
